English plurals

Em inglês, o plural dos substantivos é formado, em geral, acrescentando-se “s” ao singular.				português

Os substantivo que no singular terminam em s, sh, ch, z, ou o forma-se o plural acrescentando –es:				português

the	wish	the	wishes	o(s)	desejo(s)
the	church	the	churches	a(s)	igreja(s)

Nos plurais de substantivos terminados em “y” e precedidos de consoante, o “y” é transformado em “i” e acrescenta-se –es				português

the	mercenary	the	mercenaries	o os	mercenário mercenários
the	story	the	stories	a as	história histórias

Alguns substantivos têm um plural irregular. Destes os terminados em “f”ou”fe”, fazem o plural retirando-se o “f”e acrescentando-se a terminação “ves”.				português
